As a child I was raised Catholic. I believed there was a God, but was not taught that I needed to ask Jesus to be my Lord & Savior. The first person to tell me the truth about Jesus was Marsha Lane in 1982 when I was temporarily stationed at Nellis AFB. For the next 18 years she continued to tell me about the love of Jesus and how I needed to ask Him into my heart, but I resisted. While dating my future husband, he took me to his church where I heard the gospel every service. And every service I resisted God calling me to Him. This went on for several years. In the summer of 2000, while on a military transport to England, I thought about the fact that if the plane crashed and I died, I would spend eternity in hell. Still I resisted. Then on November 2, 2000, my husband, Joel, took me to the Billy Graham Crusade at the football stadium in Jacksonville, FL. At the invitation I knew that I needed to walk down and give my life to Christ. And that’s what I did. I met a wonderful woman named Andrea who walked me through the plan of salvation. I asked Jesus to save me, and He did. I will forever be grateful to Marsha, Joel, Andrea, and Billy Graham for showing me the way to Christ.
